I have been wanting to share more about my AMAZING time in NYC in June and geez does time go fast?! SO CRAZY to think this trip was two months ago! It was literally a life changing experience to be involved with the 2016 Sweat Tour and I have so many memories I will cherish forever. BUT before we get to that, let’s back up a little!

Getting to the city was a nightmare. My flight was delayed, then cancelled, and looooong story short, what was meant to be a 3 hour direct flight turned into a 10 hour situation which resulted in Eli driving to the wrong airport to pick me up at half-past midnight. (Love you so much girl and sitll feel bad about that lol!)

Kels and El

First thing the next morning was my shoot with Cosmopolitan! We filmed four work-out tutorials for Cosmo online. It was such a fun experience! You can read more about that and see some bts shots here.

Straight after the photoshoot some amazing friends were waiting for me (Hi Case, El, Brooke, and Shara!) and we went straight to a diner and ate our little hearts out. I had TWO Belgian waffles (yes I remember what I ate- they were THAT good) and we sat in our booth and chatted for hours. That night was every bit as much of a highlight to me as anything else I did the whole week- at the end of the day people are all that matter. :)

The next morning I checked in to the Loews Regency Hotel and OH MY WORD, you guys! I felt like a princess. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and I was SO impressed with the amenities and overall experience. THEIR BEDS ARE SO COMFY!!! But for real. They also have a great little gym there, and Wednesday morning I had the pleasure of working out with Julien Farel’s Master Trainer, Christine De Almeida. I always enjoy new challenges and it was so much fun getting to meet her and experience her style of training. She was so kind, but also firm and really knew her stuff. If you want to see more about my workout with her you can check out the details here! workout1

After my killer workout I was BEYOND spoiled at the Julien Farel Restore Salon and Spa  – I was pampered with a gel manicure as well as a haircut and style by Julien Farel himself! It was such an amazing surprise. I have always been a girly girl, but I typically do my own nails (hi manicures are expensive these days!) and I only get my hair done like twice a year (bad I know), so it was so much fun being pampered! All of the people I met there were amazing as well. Overall I recommend Loews a million times over. Definitely my favorite place I have stayed in Manhattan.

That evening I even got dressed in real clothes, wore heels, and celebrated life with some amazing friends. Another one of my most favorite memories. :)

The next morning was packed full of awesome craziness! It was BBG cardio day for me, and I DEFINITELY got my cardio in. I stopped by the Dogpound NYC in the morning (such a cool gym with such awesome people), then tried my first Soul Cycle class to support my INCREDIBLE friend Jera. Between workouts I walked and shopped and ate and got to play with so many of my BBG babes! Then we capped off the night by supporting Kayla at her Apple event- sooo much fun hearing her interview and getting to spend time with so many amazing women.

The next day was just as busy but every bit as awesome! Sweat Tour set-up in the morning, then another day running around the city. That night we did a big group cycle ride where I got to meet and play with even more amazing babes!! I wish I took more photos (real ones instead of snaps becuase of course I forgot to save my stories) but it was such a blast.

THEN SWEAT TOUR NYC FINALLY ARRIVED!!! Words seriously can’t express what an amazing experience it was to be a part of. To any of you who didn’t make it out to one of the tours this year, you MUST go next time! It is the most amazing energy being surrounded with literally thousands of amazing women all loving, supporting, and encouraging one another. And of course the workout was INSANE – death by Kayla on a whole new level haha. IMG_0164FullSizeRender (2)IMG_6678IMG_6679IMG_6691IMG_6705

I basically cried my eyes out saying goodbye to these girls, I don’t get to see them nearly enough! I feel so blessed though to have such good friends that make saying goodbye so hard.

After the NYC bootcamp it was straight to the airport and to sunny LA!! I got to my hotel about 1am, showered, slept for a few hours, then popped up at 5am to head to the Rose Bowl to set up. I was so excited and pumped from the day before and the day to come that I wasn’t even tired! I want to take a sec to introduce you to Claire and Bec! Most girls in the BBG community probably don’t know them, but they are the “elves behind the magic” if you will, and the sweat tour LITERALLY would not happen without them. I was so amazed with all of the work they do behind the scenes, and how they are able to pull everything off, but I was a million times more amazed with how AMAZING they are! Truly two of the kindest, most selfless, funny, kick ass people I have ever met, and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to get to know them. Everyone I have met on Kayla’s team is like that. Everyone involved is not only talented and hard working, but their passion for what they do and why they are doing it is so real. I was blown away and SO HAPPY to see that Kayla’s message of self love, health, and happiness REALLY IS at the heart of all they do.

HANDS DOWN, the best part of this whole experience, and really one of the greatest experiences I have had in my whole life, was being able to meet and hug so many of YOU. I was so so humbled that so many of you took the time to introduce yourself and wanted to say hi. I got to see many of my “insta friends” and meet so many new ones. Thank you for sharing your stories with me and for loving me. I can’t explain how inspired I am by each of you and how humbling it was to hear that you had found inspiration in ME. It is one thing to see someone follow you, but to have an incredible woman tell you that you have helped and encouraged her in even the smallest way is mind blowing. I know this all sounds so cheesy, but I don’t know how else to describe it. When I was on the phone with Ry that night after all was said and done, he asked “how did it go!?” and I just started crying. because I was SO HAPPY, and my heart was SO FULL. I put together this little collage of photos I had found that people tagged me in, to all of you and to everyone else I met that I didn’t get a photo with, THANK YOU!!! For inspiring me, encouraging me, and uplifting me. You are AMAZING AND I LOVE YOU!!!!
