As last comments, specially in WiFi, you have to pay good money to have good chipsets that work as promised. IMO they are focused in selling cheap junk that does not work. Many people pcen-13 forums were saying that this specific Wi-Fi adapter was the best for Linux. You could also search on hardwarerecs. Better solution is to buy a new adapter either way.
